Job Description

IMA Select is seeking a Business Insurance Client Advisor to join our team to sit out of our Winfield, KS, Wichita, KS, or Overland Park, KS offices! This person is responsible for the dailyaccount servicing and client advisement needs including but not limited to handling client and insurance company inquiries, resolving coverage and premium discrepancy issues, maintaining accurate account information in agency management system, processing of endorsements, audits, certificates of insurance, and auto ID cards. A successful applicant will possess professionalism, strong self-direction, maintain internal and external client relationships, and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Cultivateand maintainexcellent communication and relationships with clients and insurance carriers
  • Interactprofessionally and timely with clients via email, phone, and in-person
  • Developremarketing strategies in accordance with client servicing standards and market changes
  • Responsible forrenewal process on assigned book of business, including preparation of pre-renewal summary, creating renewal applications and submissions, online quoting via carrier rating platforms, reviewing quotes and negotiating terms and premiums, preparing final quotes and proposals for delivery to client, binding coverage, and issuing renewal invoices, certificates, auto ID cards
  • Participate in conference calls and/or periodic in-person client meetings to review insurance strategies and business operations
  • Participatein cross-selling new lines of coverage or services on existing accounts
  • Followup on accounts receivable items in accordance with IMA Accounts Receivable Policy
  • Attend education classes in combination with individual study programs to expand technical coverage knowledge

Required skills and experiences:

  • 1+ years of similar or related experience required
  • Attain Property and Casualty license within first 30-90 days of employment, unless already licensed, required
  • Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office products required
  • Knowledge of policy forms and endorsementspreferred
  • Math skills required, involving familiarity with ratios, percentages, discounts, and commissions preferred
