SUMMARY: The Cash Management leader is responsible for ensuring compliance with SOX controls, FBAR, FATCA, anti-money laundering regulations, and other rules governing cash transactions and banking. Coordinating and assisting auditors with quarterly/ annual audits. Additional responsibilities include liquidity management, including in-house banking and providing payment processing support, as applicable. Coordinating with billing department, the collection of company's A/R invoices, and assisting accounting teams with bank & loan reconciliations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Process cash receipts and payments for all VSE entities in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Monitors long-term debt schedules, reconcile loan activity, and compliance with debt covenants.
  • Works with all entities and corporate tax and legal departments to open new bank accounts ensuring proper services are operational.
  • Perform metrics and full analysis on all cash management volumes to ensure proper justification for accounts.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating database of all bank information. (A/C#'s, type of account, signers, etc.)
  • Manages and monitors daily cash management transactions, reports cash operation activities, setting daily cash position, and process banking transactions.
  • Ensure liquidity and prepare cash flow projections.
  • Oversee daily posting of transactions to the general ledger.
  • Program administrator for VSE's purchase card program and merchants' services, and other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with project assignments, quarter end reporting, internal /external audits, sox reporting.
  • Assist in risk management by identifying/ recommending strategies to minimize card, FX, interest rate, bank transaction risks.
  • Recommend and implement solutions to strengthen operational controls of cash management in accordance with VSE polices & procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Develop improvements in cash management in accordance with VSE polices & procedures.
  • Create data archive for bank invoices, statements, cash transactions, & other treasury documents.
  • Preform other administrative duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, and 6 years of relevant/technical work experience
    • or an additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management/staff.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage company and financial information in a confidential and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of banking industry, banking systems, ERP data integrations w/ third party systems, credit card processing standards.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's Degree Business Administration, Finance, Accounting
  • 10 + years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use judgment to prioritize requests.
  • Analytical skills to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations to write reports and business correspondence in so to effectively present information and respond to questions one-on-one and in group settings with various levels of management, colleagues, and other functional areas.
  • Experience managing projects in a fast paced, professional environment that includes collaboration, direct communication, results-oriented leadership style strong attention to detail, but also able to see the overall picture, decisive when confronted with difficult issues, develops well thought out, and creative solutions.
