As a Phlebotomist of the Support Services Laboratory, your duties include:
*Performs pre-analytical and post-analytical activities and specimen processing duties
*Performs phlebotomy on inpatients and outpatients, including neonatal/pediatric patients; perform EKG in outpatient setting
*Triage all lab samples and requests after verification of appropriate information
*Enter and verify patient and test info into computer
*Generate computer labels for specimens and deliver to appropriate areas
*Prepare samples for transport to referral labs
*Document draws, added tests, and cancelled/rejected specimens
Salary Range: $32.48 - $41.19/hour
*Current and valid California State CPT certificate
*High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED or HiSET)
*At least two(2) years of licensed phlebotomy experience in high volume hospital setting
*Previous experience performing specimen processing in an acute care facility, highly preferred
*Previous experience in EPIC, highly preferred
*Knowledge of Clinical Lab test names and their abbreviated forms
*Ability to multi-task with accuracy
*Excellent time and organizational skills
*Skill in using a computer and printer
