Iteris is looking for a Revenue Accountant that will be responsible for performing technical accounting duties related Revenue from Contracts with Customers (ASC 606). This is a hybrid position with two days in the office a week.

This individual will review and advise on technical accounting issues for contracts for appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) treatment. Prepare and record journal entries and perform account reconciliations in areas around revenue accounting. Play a role in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures with a focus on ensuring complete and accurate revenue reports & analyses as well as delivering these results on time. Partner with other Iteris teams like Project Accounting, General Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Operation to review and assess financial results. Support internal and external audit processes and ensure compliance with internal controls.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for analyzing and accounting for complex transactions ASC 606
• Perform ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) contract analysis including relevant documentation of management's assessment and results ensuring that revenue is properly and timely recognized and that the overall economics of the deal are in line with company targets/goals
• Prepare and record journal entries and perform account reconciliations like Unbilled AR, Deferred Revenue, and other revenue related areas
• Key role in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures with a focus of ensuring complete and accurate reports & analyses as well as delivering these results on time
• Partner with Project Accounting, General Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Operation to review and assess financial results
• Prepare materials to summarize accounting guidance and provide a framework for consistent application across the organization with respect to any revenue accounting standards
• Support internal and external audit processes, and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Other ad hoc tasks as assigned

What you need to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Field of Study: Finance, Accounting, or similar field
• Experience with review of ASC 606 contracts with customers
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in public accounting or 2-5 plus years of experience in revenue accounting position
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Technical accounting research and interpretations, with related communication of findings

Iteris anticipates paying between $80,000.00 and $90,000.00 for this role. However, actual pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
