WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Perform exothermic, mechanical, electrical and environmental testing
Document test results
Prepare and fabricate test samples
Manage and organize lab material
Plan lab project activity
Order raw materials and consumables for testing
Perform prototype and research testing
Propose testing process improvements
Operate power and manual tools such as saws, drill press, press brake, etc.
Work with Operations, NPI, Application Engineering, Product Management, and Sales personnel
Equipment maintenance and upkeep for the lab area
You have:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in a technical field preferred
Experience with mechanical testing and exothermic products preferred
Strong problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently without direct oversight
Ability to read/interpret drawings, specifications, and reports
Familiarity with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), general computer proficiency
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, corporate team environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods of time to perform testing
Ability to distinguish colors
Ability to interact with exothermic products with solid and gaseous reaction products
< 5% Travel (for example, equipment and material suppliers)
